An upward surge in the trends of downsizing has lead tiny house manufacturers to design layouts that cater to reducing the carbon footprints as per the requirement of the end user. A retired woman in Beulah Valley, Colorado wished to simplify her life by downsizing real-time and that’s when Bitterroot Valley tiny house was envisioned and built.

Crafted by Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses, this dwelling on wheels is claimed to be one of the simplest makes thus far, showcasing ingenious use of space. Adorned in a definitive barn style, the Bitterroot Valley tiny house measures 20 ft. and sits on a double-axle trailer.

This solar powered tiny house, has 1000 watt solar array on the roof hooked-up to a battery bank that lets the house run smoothly even on dark and cloudy days. Reclaimed materials, inexpensive resources, minimal utilities and some cutouts from previous SIP projects complements the house to adorn a modest make throughout.

A rough cut lap cedar, rusty reclaimed corrugated metal, and cedar shakes from previous projects were purposely used to stay within the allotted budget. The tiny house is completely off-grid and clads a rough stained exterior look.

White windows and a full glass door paves your entry in the house. Subtle brown hue claims the whole look inside and the house has a small living area, kitchenette, and bathroom on the ground floor. A single bedroom loft sits directly above the kitchen and is accessed through storage integrated stairs.

With two burner stove, cabinets, cupboard and a single bowl sink, the kitchen has enough space for regular cooking. The bathroom has no shower as per the request of the owner and is built with a composting toilet.

Bitterroot Valley tiny house is furnished with LED lighting throughout and is perfect for a single or double occupant. A similar make with a few upgrades can be brought at $46,000 whereas Bitterroot Valley tiny house is priced at US$39,000 with an additional $6,400 for the solar setup.
