Have you heard about or seen a truck carrying the Big Idaho Potato across your city? If yes, it’s a steel and plaster spud, almost the size of a tiny home, doing rounds across the US to promote Idaho’s cash crop. After its journey across the country, the Idaho Potato Commission envisioned it to be placed in a museum, but designer and architect Kristie Wolfie, who previously conceived the likes of the Hobbit House in Chelan, Washington, turned the Big Idaho Potato into an Airbnb rental

After travelling for seven years across the United States, this giant potato vacation rental now rests on 400 acres of Idaho farmland, where it invites tourists for a feel-good and extraordinary experience. The Idaho Potato hotel is a very a-peeling, single-room accommodation in Orchard, southeast of Boise, designed for couples and solo travelers to have a memorable stay in Idaho.

What looks like an ordinary potato from the outside fits a tranquil and minimalistic interior. Offering 133 square feet of floor space, the interior is meticulously equipped with regular amenities. Not to mention, the pastel furniture that complements the white backdrop, making the space breathe in new light.

As guests enter, they find a cute setup of two comfy armchairs and an ottoman, where they can rest and take a breather. There are a few shelves for making elevating arrangements with plants, books, and other decorative items.

The kitchen is small and cleverly fitted at the entrance. It accommodates a sink, shelves for plates and mugs, and a single drawer for cutlery. There is a tiny refrigerator, a coffee maker, and an electric fireplace to keep the space warm and toasty.

For sleeping, there’s a plush queen-size bed for two. The elk antler chandelier and skylight are some unique elements of its interior design. The entire accommodation is top-notch, but the only trouble guests can face is with the bathroom in the old grain silo about 50 feet from the Potato Hotel. But all the troubles seem to fade away once they enter the bathroom. The bathroom offers a spa, perfect for soaking while looking up at the stars through a little skylight. There’s also a vanity and a toilet.

This unique structure also comes prepared with heating and air conditioning features, which create a cozy atmosphere indoors, no matter the weather outside. This potato-shaped dwelling with a minimally designed interior and exciting exterior with a private garden and dining area makes an Instagram-worthy vacation rental that you can rent for just $195 for a night on Airbnb. For an extra dose of cuteness, there’s an adorable jersey cow named Dolly who can be your fuzzy companion for the stay.
