BTH Loft is an off-grid micro-dwelling with a beautiful rustic charm, achieved through wood finishes and nature-inspired design. Built by Lithuania-based Baltic Tiny House, the eponymous compact house has two bedroom spaces despite its tiny size. The addition of a rooftop terrace expands the living area without expanding the footprint. You get a natural outdoor space, ample built-in storage facilities, and modern amenities, all squeezed into a small living space. The clever use of every inch of available space is the most standout feature of this tiny house.
The BTH Loft Off-Grid is built on a Vlemmix trailer, measuring 24 feet long, 8.4 feet wide, and 13 feet high. Its exterior is clad with either Thermowood or Steel sheets. The timber framing adds a natural charm, while the two-pane glazed windows give a visual appeal to the house. The aluminum roof provides corrosion resistance and adds durability.
The interior of the house has an open layout, with a living area measuring 172 square feet. The mineral wool insulation helps maintain temperature, while the wood paneling and laminate flooring give the tiny house a warm, natural feel.
The glazed door opens into the living area, which features a seating area with built-in storage, a ground-floor bedroom, and a kitchenette. The bed sits on a raised platform with seating integrated into it. The large glazed windows provide plenty of natural light, making the space feel brighter and more spacious. A small foldable table next to the seating can be used for dining or work.
The kitchenette is located opposite the ground-floor bedroom. It has a sink, a stove, a fridge, and cabinetry with built-in drawers, providing generous storage. Although there is no included cooktop, you can easily have an induction or gas cooktop customized into the space. The glass window adds a visual charm and brightens up the surroundings. A wood-burning stove helps warm the entire house.
Past the kitchen, a compact bathroom covers an area of 27 square feet. You can access the bathroom through the sliding door; it features a vanity sink, a composting toilet, a shower cabin, a floating shelf, and a proper ventilation facility. The bathroom has a clean layout and doesn’t feel cluttered or congested at all.
Across the kitchenette, a storage-integrated staircase leads to the mezzanine bedroom. A broad glazed window lets light and views of the landscape outside inside. The railing provided by the company is quite low; it won’t be able to protect restless sleepers or children against rolling off the mezzanine. Therefore, it is advisable to let the kids use the ground-floor bedroom instead.

The rooftop terrace is accessible through an external ladder. The terrace has a small retreat space where you can enjoy the morning breeze, admire the sunset, and relax. You can ask the company for additional railings and off-grid facilities, such as solar panels, battery storage, and a hybrid inverter.
