Tokyo-born designer Yusuke Murakami collaborated with London-based brand Tangent Design and Invention Ltd to make Dubai Design Week 2016 unforgettable by screening a colorful light show of art installation dubbed ‘Ascension’ on the LED façade of world’s tallest tower ‘Burj Khalifa’ last month. This unique night light decoration visually expresses the journey from the center of the earth to the expansive universe.

According to its designers, using varied motion graphics of melting lava and other things, the animation expedition passed through paths filled with minerals, sea, mountains, buildings, and finally the blue sky leading to the infinite universe. The tower was lightened up in different colored patterns of floating molecules and other visualizations to symbolize different elements present in the universe.

Different lighting patterns looked fantabulous on the structure, and when looked from a distance, the building mimics the stunning faux Christmas trees. The overall decorative lighting patterns created a nightscape that amazed viewers beyond belief.
