There is something alluring about good tiny house manufacturers. Every time they drop a new model, it instantly becomes the talk of the town with almost everyone singing its praises. The recent compact dwelling has come from the studio of Baluchon. Dubbed Chicorée, the 20 feet tiny house is an epitome of exquisiteness and offers endless space with timeless elegance.

The tiny house is built on a double-axle trailer and is topped by an aluminum roof. Its exterior is finished in cedar and the interior comes clad in spruce. The tiny house relies on a stand RV-style hookup for power, while the long sliding windows allow fresh air to penetrate inside. The interior is the main highlight of the French tiny house, as Baluchon has accoutered the space with space-saving solutions.

You enter straight into the living room which is equipped with a large sofa bed and an electric radiator. The living room also has a number of shelves to store decorative items. The large glazing encompassing the house allows the interior to be bright.

Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen. It features a breakfast bar that can double as a working space. Facing the bar is the wooden countertop that integrates a three-burner propane-powered stove on it. The kitchen also comes equipped with cabinetry, a sink, and multiple storage options with the likes of cabinets and drawers.

Baluchon made the tiny house for Julia and Vincent, a young couple who didn’t want a refrigerator or an oven in the kitchen (no idea why), but the couple pushed on having small storage nooks in the kitchen. Next to the kitchen is the bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, and additional storage.

Another highlight of the Chicorée tiny house is the gorgeous open staircase in the living room. Made of oak and steel, it helps you access the loft. The tiny house mezzanine/loft is used as a bedroom as in many tiny houses. Featuring a low ceiling, it features a double bed and sleeps two people with ease.

Nearby, there is a play area for kids that can function as a sleeping space too. Interestingly, Baluchon equips their bedroom with a small oak desk that’s positioned over the living area and can function as an additional working space for the couple.
