Table that can be made by a homeowner himself always excite us to the core. A reason when we saw the Coffee Table Pi instructable, we knew that we had to share this with you guys. Created by grahamgelding the modern Coffee Table Pi is a slim line variant of an arcade cocktail cabinet you can build at home. The entire table is made of recycled wood and fitted with a Raspberry Pi (credit-card-sized single-board computer) along with a 24-inch LCD screen mounted in the centre of the table with an arcade joystick and buttons on the side.

The Coffee Table Pi is build with a standard 4 port adapter running along the rounded edges of the table. The Pi Coffee Table once complete using wireless keyboard and mouse can be used to browse the web, send emails, watching photos, update status on Facebook or to playing those retro arcade games. The table has also been mounted with Perspex over the LCD screen, though grahamgelding forgot to apply a strip of waterproof rubber seal between the Perspex and the LCD top, but when you make the Coffee Table for yourself, don’t forget to use the waterproof rubber seal so that spilt coffee doesn’t seep through the innards of the computer.
