Portuguese luxury brand Ginger & Jagger has released a new collection of design pieces that effortlessly elevate the aesthetics of any space. Inspired by the quiet language of nature, the objects are designed with a touch of Portuguese design and craftsmanship, adding a rich and authentic vibe. The luxury piece from the collection that grabs the most attention is the Etna floor lamp, a sculptural luminaire that serves as a marble body.

Featuring geological textures and branching structures, the handmade Etna floor lamp is a continuous vertical line of marble. It explores the relationship between matter and illumination while showcasing the raw beauty of volcanic landscapes. The lamp’s form recalls the molten paths that shape the earth over time.

The piece features a continuous, vertical line of light that casts a warm glow, bringing depth, atmosphere, and presence to contemporary interiors. The integrated LED strip light depicts the flow of lava through matter during or after a volcanic eruption.

Designed and handcrafted in Porto, the luminaire comes in three marble finishes, including Carrara, Estremoz, and Estremoz Rose, to choose from. Thanks to the roughly hewn marble rivets, it doesn’t look like a lamp, but rather a subtle yet imposing sculpture.

Marked by a subtle undulation that runs across the lamp’s surface and reveals a continuous trace of light, the luxurious yet minimalistic lamp stands at 63 inches tall and measures 14.4 inches deep and 11.4 inches wide.

The Etna floor lamp evokes a mineral flow in ascent. It has an elongated, silent silhouette that approaches a primordial presence, the stone trying to protect and preserve light from the outside world. This protection of light, however, paired with the handcrafted design, comes at a hefty price tag. The Etna floor lamp is priced at $19,570.
