IKEA’s long-running collaboration with British designer Ilse Crawford has a new addition. The HALGATT is a collection of two dimmable table lamps that give off an expensive, rich vibe, but its price tag says otherwise. Designed with durability in mind, the lamps are timeless and understated, with the sophistication that Crawford would have in her designed hotels.
Rendered in earth-toned materials, the pair is made from ceramic, linen, and brass, giving the lamps a classic look, prime to her designs. Material sensibility and warmth meet in lamps that decorate and enhance the aesthetics rather than interrupt or dominate them. The sophisticated lamps suit every corner of the house, whether it be the bedroom, dining room, or the working area.
Both lamps serve a different aesthetic. The first one comprises a white stoneware base paired with a matching square, sculptural shade for a clean tonal look. The second design pairs a dark, warm-toned cylindrical ceramic base with a natural beige shade above and a brass dimmer at the side.

Featuring the same material language, both lamps feature tactile ceramics with intentional imperfections, woven linen in earthy tones, and brass dimmers that let you change the atmosphere within seconds. Elevating every space they are kept in, the lamps are sophisticated and luxurious.
Crawford intends for the lamps to light up any and every space one can think of. Practical and timeless, both table lamps are cheaper than they look. The IKEA x Ilse Crawford collection is available online and in UK stores, with the dark, warm-toned lamp at $35 and the white, tone-on-tone lamp at $25.
