The Fire Shower by Austria-based Feuerwasser changes this perception by combining a garden shower with a wood-fired water heater. It is a rounded stainless steel pipe-like structure that sits in your garden without any permanent anchoring. The most exciting thing is that the shower claims to offer warm water just after three minutes of heating.
The Fire Shower is simple but offers great functionality. It comprises a showerhead on the top and a cylindrical wood stove, along with a water tank in the lower part. This design makes it convenient to fill firewood into the stove. The upper part of the structure serves as a vent for smoke, while the paved base becomes the stand to shower on.
The base adds stability and makes it easy to set up the shower. Each Feuerwasser Fire Shower comes with a mounting bracket for concrete floors, which is anchored in the floor using three screws, and then the base of the shower is attached and clamped with screws on the sides. There is also an option for a slab stand, which allows you to set up the shower flexibly anywhere. It comprises four standard stone slabs sufficient for stability.
After placing it in your desired spot, you have to connect a garden hose to the base of the shower. Let the shower’s cavity and pipes fill with water. Confirm it by opening the shower head until only water flows out.
Now comes the task of setting up a strong fire in the combustion chamber. The company recommends using thin logs (1-5 cm in diameter), as it helps you create multiple flames to heat the water quickly. Then, you can regulate the desired water temperature using the onboard mixing valve. In minutes, you will be ready to take a warm shower. Just keep in mind to keep the fire going. The instantaneous water heater has multiple safety features and automatically regulates the pressure via a valve.

The Fire Shower is 255 cm high, 30 cm wide, and 55 cm deep, with a combustion chamber 28 cm in diameter and 40 cm deep. The onboard water reservoir has 6.5 liter capacity, and multiple showers are possible as long as fresh water is being supplied. If you wish to buy, the Fire Shower is listed for €3,490, about $4,100, on the official website. It is a premium outdoor shower also suitable for a vacation rental or holiday cottage.
