Tiny houses are considered better living alternatives, and dwellers expect them to be not just reliable and practical, but also aesthetic and cozy. Norway-based Forward Homes understands the predicament, designing mobile homes that are as livable and functional as they are beautiful. Case in point is the Meili tiny house. It is what you call a masterclass in compact efficiency and smart solutions throughout.

The Meili sleeps up to three people in its ground-floor sofa bed and a loft bedroom, making it an ideal home for couples and small families. It offers basic amenities, catering to a tiny lifestyle with a slice of Nordic charm. According to the company, the Meili tiny house is the perfect choice for those who want a compact, functional home suitable not just for them but for their belongings, too.

Measuring 23 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 12 feet high, this dwelling puts spaciousness and thoughtful details at the center. The exterior features highly durable, thermo pine cladding and charcoal grey aluminum roof panels. Inside, the 184-square-foot layout, raised ceilings, birch veneer spaces, and large windows give it a distinct character with warmth. Meanwhile, the open-plan layout makes the home feel just right from every corner.

The dwelling begins with a living room. It is a multipurpose space with a convertible sofa to provide extra sleeping space. The living area seats up to six people for a heartwarming gathering. It is surrounded by large windows, offering natural light and calming outdoor views. For book nerds, there is a bookshelf with enough capacity to keep you immersed in the written worlds for days.

The dining table is also in the living room, where you can enjoy home-cooked meals while gazing at the outdoor views. However, if you want more floor space, the dining table rotates against the wall and becomes a workspace. This ingenious and functional design element caters to both workaholics and foodies.

The tiny house has a full kitchen with plenty of bench space, storage, and, as the company writes, white goods. As for appliances, a cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and a range hood take care of everyday cooking needs. The abundant storage reduces the possibility of clutter. Not an inch of space in the kitchen has been underutilized, making it a practical, spacious, and well-appointed part of the house.

The bathroom is smartly hidden behind a sliding door. Accessible from the kitchen, the bathroom includes a vanity sink, shower, toilet, and minimal storage. This room also has a window to bring in plenty of light, and an extractor fan keeps the moisture at bay.

The loft in a tiny house serves many practical uses; it can be used for both storage and sleeping. However, the loft in the Meili is solely designed for sleeping. Accessible via a ladder from the kitchen, the loft is a cozy nook with a mattress that sleeps two.

With the Meili tiny house, you get a home where every space is designed to serve you, and every detail is thoughtful, making everyday life easier and more comfortable. This can be your safe sanctuary for 990,000 NOK (roughly $100,100).
