London-based Inhouse Brand Architects have designed an urban rec room for a skateboarding fan teenager at Fresnaye. With full consent of whole family, the unused lounge area was transformed as an entertainment area for teenagers and a relaxing room for the adults. Its highlighting features are a floor-to-ceiling wooden arch over the exotic lounge-cum-theater-area and a real skating bowl surrounded with Jack Fox street art.

Creative director Aidan Hart and senior designer Jenine Bruce of Inhouse Brand Architects consulted family’s preferences and redesigned the space for sporting activities as well as a relaxing hub. They decked the space with urban interior details and integrated outdoor activities inside for making it a ‘Man Cave’. It includes modern features such as a pool table, punching bag, pull-up bar, and vintage details like a spider-man pinball machine all giving it an astonishing urban feel. The lavish sofa and booth seating are other comfy additions to the entertainment zone.

There are customized racks for showcasing the collection of skateboards. Industrial lighting and the LED strips incorporated in the featured curved arch creates ideal ambiance in the whole space. Industrial touch of bluish accent in the interiors like the bar counter and side walls elegantly matches with the polished floor.

This is a dream lounge for anyone who loves skateboarding or wants a luxury multi-functional playing room. From seating to playing activities, all features are included to provide utmost comfort. While the concrete skating bowl and other sporting features displays it as an indoor playing room; the industrial luxury details make it a celebrity-styled living room for both parents and the skateboarding enthusiast.
