Bringing its covetable retro charm to the coffee world through a collaboration with Italian coffee brand Lavazza, swish appliance maker Smeg has created the most sensuous coffee machine ever. Smeg A Modo Mio Lavazza brings both espresso and longer drinks to your kitchen counter, putting all other appliances to shame thanks to its stylish design. You will often find yourself admiring the tactfully crafted shiny and smooth contours of the machine.

Ideal for those who want a taste of Italy from their morning coffee, Smeg A Modo Mio Lavazza is a capsule machine compatible with Lavazza’s A Modo Mio capsules. The desirable love child of the two top brands will provide a number of intensities and flavors, including long coffees, with its espresso pods. The machine has a rear 0.9-liter water container, two backlit extraction buttons, 10 pressure bars, 1450W power output, and produces a delicious cup of Joe in under 30 seconds.

The Smeg A Modo Mio Lavazza coffee machine comes in three iconic color choices of red, black, and ivory. The hot red takes the crown for its luxe ravishing looks, however, black does give it strong competition for sumptuous appeal. Marrying cutting-edge technologies with the fineness and tradition of the beloved Italian espresso, the large engraved SMEG logo on the machine’s front adds to the aesthetic of the appliance.

Providing short and long extraction options, the slick espresso maker can also be programmed to extract a specific amount of espresso to suit the cup size. All you need to do is to press the long extraction button until the cup is full, then release it. The coffee machine’s removable cup tray provides extra space for taller cups and makes it easy to clean the tray up. The water reservoir at the back is also easily removable via a recessed handle.

Alike most coffee capsule makers, you need to feed Lavazza capsules by lifting the top flap under the wide chrome lever. Lavazza suggests ‘always discharge your capsule using the machine lever once your coffee is ready.’ A simple model with no bells and whistles, the Smeg doesn’t feature a milk frother either but makes a delectable cup of coffee.

With an attention to detail, the coffee maker offers a selection of blends, artfully roasted and ground; the perfect water pressure; and the temperature and slow extraction. Moreover, the Lavazza A Modo Mio capsules are eco-friendly and compostable as well. If you are someone who loves Italian style and a great cup of coffee to kickstart your day, the $248 Lavazza Smeg Pod Coffee Machine is definitely for you.
