LG Electronics (LG) has expanded its lifestyle screen lineup with the new StanbyME 2 Max, aiming to deliver a more flexible entertainment experience. Following previous versions, the new model retains the wheeled floor stand, but the screen can be fully unclipped, so you can move it around the house easily. The most important point to note here is that you can use it as a cordless tabletop monitor and even a wall-mounted digital art frame.

The latest model comes with a one-click stand that allows you to roll the screen to different parts of your home easily. When required, you can physically remove the screen to open up new entertainment possibilities, such as placing it flat on a table to play interactive touch-based board games or use it as a giant digital drawing canvas. It’s just up to you how creatively you place it around the house.

When detached, it can also work as a wall-mounted digital art frame, enhancing its overall functionality. This is the first StanbyME model to feature LG Gallery+, which gives you access to display over 5,000 international artworks on the screen. The TV features a 32-inch screen, the largest in the lineup yet, and upgraded picture quality with 4K resolution. The screen can be used in either landscape or portrait mode so you can enjoy every type of content.

The LG StanbyME 2 Max utilizes a third-generation Alpha 8 AI processor that analyzes scenes in real time to optimize picture quality. AI upscaling lets you play lower-resolution content up to near-4K quality, and AI Picture Pro adds depth and detail. The TV also supports Dolby Vision for enhanced picture quality. The audio is supported by AI Sound Pro paired with Dolby Atmos to deliver multi-dimensional sound.

The TV also comes with a higher battery capacity than earlier versions, allowing you to run it wirelessly for up to 4.5 hours, while the onboard USB-C port lets you charge it easily at home. The portable TV runs on LG’s webOS smart platform, with access to major streaming apps and 400+ free LG Channels. It also includes built-in HDMI and USB ports for connecting external devices like laptops, game consoles, mobile devices, IPTV set-top boxes, and more.

You can even display content from a smartphone, tablet, or computer directly on screen using the TV mirroring feature. Now, LG has added most features that can make it compete with Samsung’s The Movingstyle.

The LG StanbyME 2 Max stands out by expanding its use for different parts of the home. It can be a great bedroom TV alternative, a kitchen recipe companion, or a secondary monitor for work. If you wish to buy, it can be pre-ordered for about $1,999 on the official website.
