To welcome Christmas in style, chefs at Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain have created a life-size gingerbread house with dine-in facility. Placed in the hotel lobby for guests, the house lets guests indulge in private dining experience. Made from sugar, eggs and ginger, the edible house is an architectural marvel in itself.

The 20 feet model house that can easily accommodate six is beautifully adjourned with icing, candy canes and gumdrops. Preparation for the project kicked off back in October, 2015. And, the final outcome is built with ingredients including 856 lbs of sugar, 400 lbs of honey, 350 lbs of flour, 100 lbs of powdered ginger and 250 lbs of eggs.

Termed as the biggest holiday project by pastry chef Amanda, the interiors of the gingerbread house contains one real and functional fireplace and a table for six. Open for dinner through December 23, one can book the table by paying $150 and enjoy three or four course dinner with family.

Each year the Ritz-Carlton staff creates Christmas-inspired sculptures under the guidance of head pastry chef Daniel Mangione, but this is for the first time they have created a dine-in-house. Well, we can only imagine how it would feel eating at a place that can fill your heart with the rich aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger ooze.

It might be difficult for us to visit the place, but if you are there, then do not miss your chance of enjoying a lavish feast inside the edible house with your friends and family.
