No other audio brand created quite a stir in the consumer tech market this year like Marshall. The British company kicked things off by entering the soundbar market with the Heston 120, a Dolby Atmos-enabled powerhouse for home cinema lovers. Then came the long-awaited Kilburn III, a portable Bluetooth speaker that combines style and substance. Following that, Marshall unveiled the Middleton II, a portable speaker that improves on its predecessor. Just when we thought Marshall would make us wait months for the next big release, the brand surprised us by announcing its first-ever party speaker yesterday.

First reported by Wallpaper, Marshall has expanded its audio portfolio with the release of the Marshall Bromley 750, its first-ever party speaker. Designed to deliver a concert-like experience in your home or backyard, the Bromley 750 combines colossal power, retro aesthetics, and modern versatility. As highlighted by HomeTheaterReview, the speaker weighs 23.9 kg (52 lbs), making it heavier than the typical portable Bluetooth models. As a result of its colossal weight, Marshall had to add built-in wheels, carry handles, and a pull-out handle, much like a suitcase.

This towering presence, both physical and sonically, is complemented by the brand’s look and style. Bromley 750, akin to other Marshall releases this year, sports a retro-inspired design that takes cues from the brand’s legendary guitar amplifiers. The speaker features a textured vinyl exterior, a front grille with the iconic brass-colored Marshall logo, and a rugged build. As per Marshall, the speaker comes with an IP54 dust and water-resistance rating, implying Bromley 750 is built to withstand splashes and dust, making it suitable for outdoor parties.

The Bromley 750 also incorporates stage-inspired party lights, adding a dynamic visual element to its audio prowess. It is to be noted that Marshall has taken a departure from the typical RGB lighting of most party speakers and rather outfitted Bromley 750 with white stage lights, with three preset modes to synchronize with the music. These lights sync with the music, creating an immersive atmosphere that evokes the energy of a live concert.

Another core highlight of the Bromley 750 is its staggering 500 watts of amplification, driving a robust speaker array that includes two 10-inch woofers, two 5.25-inch mid-range drivers, and four tweeters (two 1-inch and two 0.8-inch). This configuration delivers 360-degree true stereophonic sound, ensuring that every corner of the room is filled with rich, immersive audio. According to What Hi-Fi, the Bromley 750 promises “booming sound” that lives up to Marshall’s rock and roll legacy, making it ideal for large gatherings where volume and clarity are paramount.

The speaker’s dynamic loudness technology automatically adjusts bass, mids, and treble to maintain balance at any volume, ensuring that no detail is lost, whether you’re blasting heavy metal or spinning classical tracks. Rolling Stone highlights its ability to “get loud as hell,” a testament to its capacity to replicate the energy of a live performance. For audiophiles and casual listeners alike, the Bromley 750 offers a soundstage that rivals much larger audio systems, making it a standout in the party speaker market.

Beyond its primary function, Bromley 750 doubles as an instrument amplifier, featuring two XLR/6.35mm combo inputs for connecting microphones or guitars. This makes it a dream for musicians who want to jam or perform live at events. Additionally, the speaker supports 3.5mm, USB-C, and RCA inputs, alongside Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast, which allows for seamless wireless connectivity and the ability to broadcast audio to multiple compatible devices.

Marshall claims the Bromley 750 has a 40-hour battery life, ensuring it can keep the party going well into the night, while optional backup batteries provide several hours of playback, minimizing downtime. With big size and even bigger stature comes a premium price tag. Bromley 750 is priced at $1,300, reflecting its high-end components and robust performance. The speaker was available for preorder on Marshall’s official website from September 23.

Marshall Bromley 750 is tailored for audio enthusiasts who crave a speaker that can fill large spaces with high-fidelity sound. Its ability to double as an instrument amplifier makes it a favorite for live performers, while its robust connectivity options and long battery life ensure flexibility for various settings.
