Everybody loves to enhance the interior decoration of home or office with attractive looking functional clocks. The desk clock on your table not only keeps you updated with the current time but also works as an inexpensive way to add stylish touch to any space. You may find a wide collection of unique desk clocks on the market, but probably no one would surprise you more than the Swiss luxury watch brand MB&F.

After rocking the world with radical horological masterpieces, now the watch brand is making aquatic-themed clocks. Octopod is its latest creation that’s been made in collaboration with the Swiss premier clock maker L’Epée 1839. This creepy eight-legged, eight-day desk clock is inspired by cephalopods, marine chronometers, and The Abyss.

The Octopus-shaped desk clock stands on eight articulated legs that are assembled using 31 different parts. Flexible nature of each leg lets users adjust the height of the clock easily. You just need to press the button inside each leg to move between standing or extended positions. It also has a transparent spherical head that can be rotated in different directions.

Another thing to notice is the mechanical movement located on its minute hand rather than being attached to the stationary movement plates. This all-new eight-day movement is developed by L’Epée 1839. The transparent baseplate of the movement is treated with a film of anti-reflective coating on both sides so that it appears to be floating mid-air.

Octopod is available in 3 limited editions of 50 pieces each in black PVD, blue PVD, and palladium (silver) that can be purchased from certified retailers for about CHF 35,00 (US$36,462).
