Austrian furniture brand, MOWO (move with wood) wants to make your office hours fun and full of movement. How’s that possible, you ask? With the MOWO wooden moving flexible stool, which is shaped to flex and sway with your body. Founded in 2021 by architect and designer Lisa Stolz in Vienna, MOWO aims to solve the boredom and back pain caused by sitting for long hours with its wooden stool.
Every stool is manufactured in Greece from laminated wood veneers, accented into strong, curved elastic forms. No plastic or metal, just wood and colored cords have been used in giving your daily sitting and working routines joyful changes.
Creating their own rhythms, three signature wooden stools share the same principle: namely, the Einser that swings, the Achter that bounces, and the Vivi that makes your hips dance. Your sitting position will unlock different kinds of movements, providing flexibility the whole day, so you won’t feel stiff at the end of the day. These stools have slim silhouettes replacing the bulky office chairs. Cushions can be added, too, to these stools to add more comfort.

MOWO, move with wood, has made its wooden stools to defy the common thought attached with wood i.e., stillness and rigidity. These stools surprise you with their light and dynamic sensation. Everyone will find their own rhythm based on the basis of their body shapes or their fidgeting styles. These stools are being showcased in the Dutch Design Week, Eindhoven, where the visitors can check and test them out.
