The 2026 NYCxDesign Week gave us a lot of luminaires to like, just like the Neo Table Light by Original BTC. Created in collaboration with London’s Buchanan Studio, the table lamp is inspired by the craft of glassmaking, merged with a love for sweet swirls.

It is part of the Neotenic collection that features a range of lighting sporting round and soft forms. The color palette is inspired by confectionery with shades like strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla that hit the Neapolitan nostalgia of classic ice creams.

The core of the lamp is a curvaceous, bullnose-shaped opal glass shade. Each piece is mouth-blown and swirled at the Original BTC’s Oxfordshire glassworks using colored glass frit, ensuring that no two lamps share the same marble pattern. The fluid glass shade sits on a textured, powder-coated white steel base featuring Buchanan Studio’s signature crisp, triangular motif.

When switched on, the lamps look like glowing pools of sweet colors that add warmth and personality to any space. The lamps also feature a functional integrated tilt mechanism, allowing users to pivot and angle the shade to redirect light as needed.

The top of the luminous fixtures is crowned with a refined brass cap that completes the collaboration’s industrial-meets-romantic look. The Neo Table Light stands out as a functional piece of art that beautifully marries Buchanan Studio’s whimsical design ethos with Original BTC’s legacy of master glassblowing.

Whether you choose the rich warmth of chocolate, the playful pop of strawberry, or the classic elegance of vanilla, its marbled glass and distinct silhouette create a captivating focal point in any room. It is a timeless investment piece for design enthusiasts looking to bring a warm, sculptural glow into their interiors.
