Philips remains a well-recognized name when it comes to air fryers. In recent years, it has released several models, including the Airfryer 3000 and 5000 Series, which feature single and dual-basket options; the latter being one of the most trending features at the moment. Expanding its lineup, Philips has launched the new Airfryer 5000 Series Megabasket, facilitating flexible cooking. Similar to Ninja’s FlexDrawer or MegaZone series air fryers, this countertop appliance features an extra-large single drawer that can be used to cook large items like a whole chicken, or you can split it into two independent cooking zones.
The new Megabasket air fryer is nearly identical to the Philips 5000 Air Fryer & Steamer, but it replaces two side-by-side baskets with a large basket. Whether you are preparing dinner for two or the entire family, this appliance will always be at your hand. You can cook in two separate 3-liter and 6-liter baskets for everyday convenience, or transform into one larger basket around 10 liters, sufficient for 2.5 kg of fries, 1.9 kg of ribs, or a whole chicken.
This 2300W kitchen appliance offers 28 cooking methods. You can steam vegetables, air-fry chicken, bake desserts, grill fish, roast potatoes, reheat leftovers, and even combine steam and air-frying for best results. Philips says, “steam technology preserves up to 93 percent of nutrients while creating silky, tender textures.”
There are 8 device presets, or you can explore additional presets in the HomeID app. The air fryer can go as low as 40 degrees Celsius and as high as 200 degrees Celsius. It can also run continuously for up to 24 hours for dehydrating and fermentation.
Philips has also included an automatic SteamClean function for the first time in its air fryer, making cleanup a lot easier. All removable parts are also dishwasher-safe with a non-stick ceramic coating that offers even more convenience in maintenance.

When using the dual basket of the Philips Airfryer 5000 Series Megabasket, it automatically synchronizes cooking times of both baskets to ensure food finishes at the same time, even if you are using completely different times or temperatures on either side of the basket.
It can also remember your preferred cooking settings for different foods, so you don’t have to set them every time. For example, if you like your chicken extra crispy or your vegetables softer, you can save the cooking preferences. The next time you cook the same food, the air fryer automatically uses your saved settings to match your taste. As noted by T3, the Philips Airfryer 5000 Series Megabasket is available at the official website for £258.99 (roughly $350).
