British Columbia-based builder Summit Tiny Homes has an impressive fleet of tiny houses to its name. The manufacturer not only has a handful of signature models but also creates gorgeous custom dwellings as well. The case in point is the Sequoia tiny house. The custom-made 42-foot tiny house on wheels is designed for a newly engaged couple in British Columbia. The micro-dwelling fits an abundance of living spaces in just under 400 square feet to offer a comfortable downsized lifestyle to the couple.

Fitting all the luxuries of a full-size home, the Sequoia offers a gooseneck bedroom, a dining/reading nook, a big kitchen, a walkthrough bathroom, a versatile loft, and a ground-floor workspace that packs more than a few surprises. Built on a triple-axle trailer, the exterior of the house features steel blue painted board and batten siding with sequoia shingles adding a wood cottage-esque charm.

A maroon door opens into the cozy interior that is dotted with numerous windows to keep it bright and well-ventilated. The first space that you enter is the compact living space that functions as a snug reading nook. It features an alcove seating area with storage underneath. Adjacent is a short flight of storage-integrated stairs that lead to the gooseneck bedroom, which is equipped with a king-size bed, built-in nightstands, a skylight, and a privacy wall.

Next to the reading area is the big kitchen. The galley features live-edge countertops, part of which offers generous dining space. The kitchen is outfitted with modern appliances including a four-burner cooktop, an oven, a range hood, and a refrigerator. It also has plenty of cabinets, a farmhouse sink, and a pantry.

A typical ladder is tucked away in the kitchen. It offers access to the loft, which can be used in a myriad of ways. The loft can be turned into a secondary bedroom to sleep two, a living area, or a storage space.

Past the kitchen, a walkthrough bathroom is designed behind a pocket door. The residential-style bathroom is one of the best aspects of the Sequoia tiny house. It features a vanity sink, a washer/dryer unit, a toilet, a glass-enclosed shower cabin, a couple of cabinets, and a tiny side table.

Another pocket door separates the bathroom from the ground-floor flex room. The room is essentially designed to function as a workspace and features a storage ledge and height-adjustable standing desk with a hidden electric piano and charging drawers.

Since the Sequoia tiny house is a customized unit, we do not know the pricing. However, a 35-foot house by Summit Tiny Homes is usually priced at CAD 195,000 (roughly $145,000), so we can expect the cost of Sequoia to have been well above CAD 250,000 (roughly $185,000).
