Handmade skateboard furniture is conceptualized and built by Baked / Roast, a Netherlands-based design studio working to create unique goods for unique individuals. The design studio is managed by Aad from Ik hout and Antoine Stemerding in their respective workshops. The studio name is anagram for skateboard which is the uniform design to their approach.

The handmade skateboard furniture is designed with the use of two different materials, i.e., wood for the Wood One and steel for the Steel One. The deck of both furniture items is made of 7-ply Canadian maple wood with a medium concave; an ideal wood for making skateboards. Chassis or base of the Wood One is made from high-quality beechwood bolted together with the help of orange screws and bolts made in Dutch style.

Colored bolts beautifully match with the orange dyed layer on the deck of the table. Whereas in the Steel One, chassis is made from pure steel with the finishing of traditional gun blue treatment. Steel provides extra strength and immovability, making the furniture item a perfect blend of both stability and durability. Use of premium quality wood and steel makes it lightweight for the purpose of portability.

Available in a limited edition of 40  units with ‘The Signature Series’ laser engraving at the bottom, the collection is a multi-utility furniture object which can be used as a chair, stool, table, bedside table or a footstool.
