The creative duo teamed up to create a stunning home collection called Soft Imprints. It features vibrant rugs and matching pillows that turn ordinary floors and couches into a playful playground of shapes and textures.
The most exciting part of this collection is the pattern itself. Salehe Bembury is famous for using organic, wavy lines that mimic human fingerprints, while Alex Proba is known for her joyous, abstract geometric artwork. When you mix the two, you get a beautiful explosion of movement. Instead of boring straight lines or simple squares, these designs curve, bend, and loop around each other like soft rivers of color. It feels alive, energetic, and incredibly fun.
Speaking of color, this collection isn’t quiet or shy. The patterns burst with rich jewel tones and happy shades. You will spot deep teals, fiery oranges, royal purples, and sky blues all hugging each other on the same surface. The colors clash in the best way possible, instantly waking up any room they are placed in.
“I’ve always believed that objects should make you feel something. With Soft Imprints, we wanted every piece to feel joyful, tactile, and full of life,” says Proba as reported by Design Milk.
But the real magic happens when you actually step on the rugs or squeeze the pillows. These pieces are hand-tufted from thick, premium wool, which means the pattern isn’t just a flat print; it is three-dimensional. The artists carved different heights into the wool for added layers of playfulness.

The fingerprint ridges physically stand higher than the surrounding colors. Walking across the rug feels like a mini foot massage, and running your hands over the pillows lets you feel every twist and turn of the design.
Soft Imprints home collection is a beautiful reminder that home décor should not just be pretty to look at; it should be incredibly fun to touch, too. Created in a limited edition of 200 throw pillows and 80 rugs, the collection will be available through both artists’ platforms.
