Sustainable Twin Treehouses are Conjoined for Work and Play

Set to please people of almost all ages, treehouses come with integrated spaces and privileged views. They are simple to complex structures built to serve an array of functions apart from just enchanting us with their ecstasy. A case in point is the Sustainable Twin Treehouses by Temescal Creative, allowing a designer mother to build a playful space for her twins’ big dreams.

Martine Ilana, the core designer at Temescal Creative reimagined the mundane structure of a typical treehouse to accommodate the needs of her growing twins. So she has designed uncanny twin treehouses connected at the center by a set of swings for those easy playful outside encounters. The outside play area offers recreation through swings, a slide, and a monkey bar.

While donning a huge unique design, the façade of these treehouses keeps true to imitating the architectural outline of their adjacent main home. Nestled between fully grown maple and oak trees, a slatted exterior design offers a rain screen echoing sustainable accommodation. An amazing twin structure made to serve as a nature retreat for the family, the treehouses act as a haven for safe outdoor adventures.

Apart from being built as a dedicated play area for the girls, the twin treehouses can also serve as a place for recreation, work, habitation, and hanging out in the lap of the encompassing landscape. Sustainable Twin Treehouses stand tall to complement the engulfing trees around, embracing the daunting 6 square foot base by towering 14 feet height.

Intended to offer longevity, these twin structures have been envisioned using metal roofing and water-based Low VOC paints. Supporting material from a Detroit salvage yard, the treehouses pose as a large eco-friendly structure.

Occupied by the thought of preserving the forest’s integrity, the designer comes clean in harboring non-toxic and eco-friendly material. Attracting the twins to engage outside, Martine engaged a HDPE high-density polyurethane plastic slide for combined and individual play sessions.
