There are times when we need more storage drawers to keep things organized at home. You can find a variety of drawer options in the market but most of them feature a simple, boring, rectangular form. If you ever want an alternative, the Sutoa drawer by Danish brand Frama is a brilliant solution. It is an aesthetically pleasing piece that catches the eye with its simple elegance, sculptural form, and functionality.

Unlike most storage drawer units, the Sutoa storage drawer sports a fascinating shape that looks like a pyramid. Originally designed by Japanese designer Keiji Ashizawa in 2011 in oak wood, the chest takes its name from the Japanese word Sutoa, which means ‘to contain.’

It is a unique chest that will not look elegant in any space, it may be outright imposing, but will solve the purpose of storage unlike any other chest of drawers out there. Each unit comprises a minimal steel frame and seven detachable wooden drawers that stack over each other. There is a minimal gap between the boxes that serve as the handles, while wheels at the back ensure it’s easy to take this pyramidic contraption from one room to another in the house.
