Massachusetts-based lighting manufacturer Sylvania has unveiled Apple HomeKit compatible A19 smart light bulb under its Ledvance lineup. This Bluetooth-enabled multi-color smart lighting can be easily controlled either through voice commands to Siri or Apple’s Home app without using a separate hub. The installation process is easy, just attach the smart LED bulb in your favorite lamp and sync it with the Home app to enjoy scheming lights at home.

Aaron Ganick head of the Smart Home Americas group at Ledvance said;

For us, making the Smart Home a reality for consumers is all about quality products and strong partnerships with leaders in the industry.  By working with Apple to provide smart lighting that works directly with the Home app, we’re making it easier for Apple enthusiasts to seamlessly integrate quality lighting into their Smart Home, bringing convenience and simplicity to their daily lives

Just like other Apple Homekit-enabled accessories, the Sylvania A19 bulb can be controlled remotely by using your Apple TV or iPad running iOS 10 as a smart home hub. With a simple touch or a voice command, one can set up lighting schemes as per personal preferences or combine its activities with other Homekit-enabled products for enjoying custom experience through the companion app. For instance, simple voice commands such as, “I am on my way home” can be used for turning the lights, thermostat or unlocking the door. You can even change its colors or dim the light instantly though voice commands.

With this smart bulb at home, one will get enough freedom and flexibility for controlling all Homekit-enabled accessories easily. There is no information about the price of Homekit-enabled multicolor A19 smart light bulb till date, but it will be available on Amazon in early 2017.
