Alex Groot Jebbink, a designer based in the Netherlands, has created a sleek table as his first piece of furniture design. Dubbed Tangle_One, this table reflects an airy design appearing to be light in weight and therefore can be associated with a bird’s wing. However, the crisscross wooden legs form a solid and steady base, on which the thin surface rests. This table can be utilized as a work desk or a dining table or any other way the user wants.

Thin, glossy surface of the Tangle_One is made using a contrasting combination of oak and stone like material known as HI-MACS (a solid surface resembling the strength of stone, but can be fabricated and worked on just like wood) which is available in a variety of colors. Further, the X-shaped oak legs are invisibly attached to smooth table top making the entire structure attractive and steady enough to perform a multitude of functions. Alex got the opportunity to displayed his furniture design at the Milan Furniture Fair, this year.

The standard measurements of the table are 249 cm x 90 cm x 74 cm. You can, however, customize color, dimensions of the table surface, working height and position of the legs according to your preferences. It is sold by IC Woerden under the label a-LEX and can be delivered throughout Europe. The retail price of the standard piece is $5337 (€ 3920), which will differ according to customization.
