We want our tiny houses to be comfortable and spacious, but do we want them to be funky as well? By funky, I don’t mean packed with luxuries like a mini pool or multiple lofts. You can choose to play with other elements such as the color and space, and give your compact dwelling a wacky touch. Modern Tiny Living (MTL) decided to do the exact same thing, and the result is The Rocket, a 28-foot tiny house on wheels that has a splash of funk written all over it.

The custom tiny home boasts a blue exterior with neon green accents that contrasts well with its red interior. Packed inside the LP vertical smart siding with square trim exterior is a luxury kitchen, full bathroom, first-floor master bedroom, and a loft bedroom. Despite the unique palette stealing all the limelight, the tiny house doesn’t fail to impress with its functionality either.

Upon entering through the glass door, you are welcomed by a built-in custom bench with storage. It isn’t a fancy couch like we are used to seeing in a tiny house but it comes upholstered to seat two-to-three people. Adjacent to this is the kitchen of the tiny house. Featuring custom cabinetry with marble formica countertops, the kitchen is also accoutered with a 24-inch black undermount sink. Other notable details include a three-burner gas cooktop alongside a microwave oven and refrigerator.

One end of the Rocket tiny house has a bathroom while the other features a bedroom. The bathroom can be accessed via a sliding barn door and features a diamond-shaped window that keeps the bathroom airy and fresh. There is also a mini-sink, a full-size shower with a glass door, and a composting toilet.

The bedroom is on the opposite side of the bathroom. But before you enter the bedroom, MTL has designated a small space for housing shoes and clothes. It allows user to hang their clothes and store their belongings right outside the bedroom. Speaking of the bedroom area, it has a double bed and a number of windows allowing the room to be light filled all the time. There are a number of floating shelves that can be used for housing decorative items.

MTL’s The Rocket tiny house also has a loft and be reached via storage-integrated stairs. It can either be utilized as a second bedroom or can be brought to use as a storage room. Irrespective of all tee features, it’s the color scheme that turns out to be the showstopper.
