The varied quality of the water supplied to homes is a big problem that may lead to unhealthy lifestyle. New York City-based company Stok Labs in collaboration with Miio Studio has designed and developed a solution to address the problem of the supply of good quality water to bathrooms. They have come up VAND, claimed the world’s first custom shower purifier, which is easy to install and use. It not only takes care of hair and skin but also diffuses vitamins and nutrients into the water.

VAND is a double-module water purification system that operates in two stages. At first, the subtractive module purifies water to remove polluting particles like harmful minerals, chemicals, plastic particles, bacteria and viruses. The purified water then passes directly into the second additive module which diffuses vitamins and minerals required for the body into the clean water.

VAND shower purifier is designed to work with existing shower systems – whether ceiling-mounted or handheld shower – it mounts like a screw. There is no need for a plumber or landlord permission – thanks to its thoughtful DIY design. The device has dedicated cartridges for vitamins and a filter that can also be replaced easily without tools.

The outer surface of the VAND is covered with a layer of thermo-chromic paint, which makes it become transparent once the warm water circulates inside. This shower purifier is an alternative to artificially processed products that people use during a shower to protect the skin and hair.
