At the 2026 3daysofdesign festival in Copenhagen, Argentinian industrial designer Luis Coronel launched his emerging design studio, CLDW (CL Design Works). Exhibiting under the festival’s Emerging Artist category, Coronel introduced a signature material language that blends the precision of Scandinavian minimalism with the cultural warmth of Latin American craftsmanship.
The Bridge lounge chair acts as a literal and symbolic bridge connecting two distinct design cultures. The piece actively merges the structural precision of Danish design with the expressive warmth of Argentine sensibility.
The armchair features an elegant, contemporary silhouette defined by quiet, minimalist forms. Inspired by the logic of a bridge, its continuous wooden lines connect the backrest, armrests, and legs in a single fluid gesture. The visual impact relies on clean lines intersected by subtle, expressive detailing that brings a modern, sophisticated presence to the furniture.
The piece focuses heavily on material warmth, celebrating raw textures through careful craftsmanship. The primary framework is sculpted from solid wood, selected for its grain and long-term durability. The piece combines Nordic woods like oak, ash, birch, beech, and walnut with thermoformed felt.

Flaunting an entirely transparent structure, every joint, support beam, and handcrafted wood connection is celebrated openly rather than concealed under decorative padding. This architectural clarity emphasizes the functional integrity of the furniture piece, giving it an intentional and timeless quality.
The piece was conceived during a one-month design residency in Milan under the mentorship of Raffaella Mangiarotti. The color palette selected for the furniture piece mirrors raw, organic elements with high sophisticated restraint. The Bridge lounge chair‘s earth-informed colorway ensures the piece blends seamlessly into minimalist spaces while letting the natural beauty of the wood remain the focal point.
