For many people, pumpkin carving is a tremendous holiday task. Not to mention the mess it makes. Although fun, pumpkin decorating ideas can be quite wasteful and expensive. Instead, DIY Halloween pumpkin decoration ideas can lessen the waste and spare you the pain of carving big gourds and making a huge clutter to clean up afterward. One of the most popular pumpkin alternatives for Halloween and fall festivities is the DIY fabric pumpkin and we absolutely love it. Follow the video tutorial below:

It is the perfect holiday craft suited for fall, Halloween, or Thanksgiving decorations. Incredibly easy and dirt cheap, the adorable Halloween stuffed pumpkins can be created in less than 15 minutes with fabric or felt.

To get started, you need a round piece of fabric and sew at the edge (you can do the same with felt to create felt pumpkins). Once you have stitched the entire edge, pull on the thread to create a sack. Then stuff the sack with cotton until the brim. Now pull on the thread tightly and close it by making a couple more stitches.
