Texas-based Jonathan Tommey makes live edge furniture boasting a sophisticated combination of rustic and contemporary design. Most of his creations are live edge tables for different spaces of a house. Here is a unique entryway table featuring a base made of a classic tailor sewing machine.

This table is handcrafted from a single knotted cedar slab featuring a range of colors, knots and side branches. The slab sits over a 1914 sewing machine base painted in a semi-gloss black finish that brings the piece into oneness.

The addition of an upcycled metal base into a live edge furniture piece is really a thoughtful idea that combines nature’s beauty with industrial-age craftsmanship. This live edge entryway table will be a conversation starter.
