It is hard to come across an ordinary coffee table with built-in PC, mounted speakers, and height adjustability all-in-one. The Opula Smart Coffee Table by Hong Kong-based Opula Technology is just that, designed to upgrade our living space from family time to work time in an instant.
The Opula coffee table is auto height adjustable between 12 inches in coffee table form factor and up to 2 feet for working. This is not even its unique aspect. The fun begins when you split open the tabletop in half to reveal an entire PC.
The tabletop is crafted from eco-friendly red oak. The surface is water-resistant allowing you to keep it squeaky clean even if you accidentally spill drinks on it without damaging the computer hidden within. The durable legs of the table are made from aluminum providing stability to the console.
On the left side of the table is a tablet-style control panel that works at the fingertips, letting the user control the height between the extreme ends, mentioned above. By sliding the metallic latch, the tabletop splits open to reveal a 27-inch 4k HD screen. Close the two flaps of the tabletop back and you have a full-fledged workstation at your service.
For the inquisitive, the PC is powered by AMD Ryzen graphics, has Bluetooth for connectivity, and becomes a sketch pad (with accompanying stylus pen) for the creatives otherwise spending their productive time toiling with little tablets on the couch. There is generous space to organize your peripherals like the keyboard, mouse, board games, and diaries inside and on the tabletop, as required.
