Roborock, well known for its home cleaning robots, has launched S8 Series robot vacuum cleaners at CES 2023. The lineup of three vacs is spearheaded by the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra offered with a charging dock capable of automatically drying the mop. The company claims the S8 Series is powered by 6,000Pa, which is the strongest suction power offered by the brand’s cleaners.

The charging station dubbed the RockDock Ultra, not only empties dust, refills the water tank, and cleans the mop automatically; it also blows warm air to dry the mop, preventing any build-up of mold and odors on the mop pad and the dock itself.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a dual rubber roller brush with improved dirt pick up ability and is said to be suitable for homes with pets. The brush lifts up in the mopping mode and even when in the dock, in order to prevent cross-contamination. The company says this liftable brush will be useful to “mop up spills without damaging the robot vacuum.”

Much like the brush, the mop also lifts up when cleaning on the carpets. The mop on the S8 Pro Ultra robot vacuum is powered by two vibration modules for better efficiency. The mop pad “scrubs against floors with sonic mopping technology at a frequency of 3000 times per min, ” Roborock notes.

As mentioned in the press release, the S8 Series Vacuum Cleaner will be available for purchase online on Amazon and through Roborock’s Official Store in the United States starting April 2023 for $749.99.
