Scottish interior decorators Colin Lewis McAllister and Justin Patrick Ryan have beautifully transformed an awkward laundry room into extra sleeping space for guests. Previously, the cottage was arranged over two floors with a bedroom across the hall and another upstairs. But the current owners wanted an extra guest room, so the duo decided to turn unused laundry into a spacious guest room.

To make the small room appear larger, the designers replaced the small window with bigger one. The bigger window not only creates illusion of spaciousness, but also allows extra daylight to enter inside. Interior of the room is clad in wooden ceiling and flooring; moreover walls are painted white to create contrasting appearance.

The Ikea bed with built-in drawers is placed at center to store clothes and other stuff of guests. This way guests can enjoy comfortable stay without any clutter within the room. We really liked this idea how the duo has turned such small unused space into something useful and beautiful at the same time.
