DIY Pumpkin Fairy House Carving for Halloween

Step 1: Cut a hole at the top of a big pumpkin and empty the innards. Make sure to scrape seeds, pulp, and the fibrous strands.

Step 2: Carve a door at the front without removing the chunk from the pumpkin and two round holes for windows flanking the door.

Step 3: Insert one toothpick vertically and one horizontally into these holes to mimic window bars.

Step 4: Take a smaller pumpkin and cut it with a hole at the bottom of it. Remove the innards nicely.

Step 5: Then make a window at the front of the smaller pumpkin following the same process.

Step 6: Add string lights inside the bigger pumpkin and place the smaller one on top of it, making sure the window on the smaller gourd aligns with the front door at the bottom gourd.

Step 7: Add wood pieces – I cut a wooden coaster into three pieces – over the windows and the door as awnings.

Step 8: Place grass and mini pumpkins around the structure to mirror a bountiful abode.
