Sweden-based furniture company Verk relies heavily on sustainable raw materials. It not only believes in the concept of sustainability but it goes the extra mile in sourcing local materials such as Swedish wood, wool, leather, and so on. The company is showcasing its furniture at the coveted Stockholm Design Week 2024, with one of its attention-grabbing designs being the Verk Stool.

The Verk stool is one of the main parts of the company’s collection at the event. It uses raw materials like solid oak and birch wood. The seat of the stool is made using vegetable-tanned leather from Tärnsjö Tannery. All of the materials have been sourced from Sweden.

The legs are made using two wooden planks, one has a cut-out in the middle that accommodates the thin bottom of the second plank to form an X-shaped leg base whenever you want to use the stool. It can be easily aligned to its sitting position and when not in use it can collapse for easy storage.

The great thing about the Verk stool is that it serves as a portable stool and can be used indoors and outdoors. It can also be a great furniture piece for camping enthusiasts.

The leather top of the Verk stool provides a natural seating posture for the user therefore it is good for your spine as it does not create a hard sitting position. This stool can be used for long hours of sitting depending upon the preference of the user.

The stool has a natural wooden color so it will complement any interior. The company offers it for the price of approximately $300. Verk stool truly exemplifies the beliefs of the brand with sustainability at the core of its designs.
