Alexandre Boucher, a young designer based in Lyon imagines his creations as pieces of art that are functional. He has recently exhibited a unique bookshelf design at Mason et Objet 2019. Dubbed Rouah 200, it is a freestanding bookshelf that will not take much floor space but will provide enough space to store books.

Inspired by how wind sculpts, draws and shapes matter, he has designed and created the Rouah 200 bookshelf, a debutant in his collection of self-publishing objects.

This vertical bookshelf is designed as both, a sculpture and functional unit. It is a slender yet strong bookshelf that can accommodate plenty of books vertically, taking very less floor space.

Measuring 500mm x 500mm 2000 mm, the Rouah 200 bookshelf is made from ash wood, however, there are different choices of materials to select from. It is a minimalist, practical and elegant design for modern homes.

One obvious benefit of this bookshelf design is that it provides enough space to showcase and recognize books. There is a separate rack for each book, making it possible to see the books from all angles.
