Owning a vintage travel trailer gives a nostalgic feeling that only a few can truly appreciate. For those who admire the legacy of Airstream but find it too expensive, there is a great alternative: a 1946 Spartan Manor, a 25-foot single-axle travel trailer, priced at $6,000. The Spartan Aircraft Company, originally an airplane manufacturer, shifted to building travel trailers after World War II. The Manor model debuted around the same time as Airstream’s early trailers and features the same Art Deco style used in aircraft manufacturing, with a shiny, riveted aluminum exterior.

As mentioned on the listing, this trailer was refurbished between 2017 and 2020 in Prince George city, British Columbia. The refurbishment included replacing the steel chassis and fitting a leaf-sprung single axle with electric drum brakes. Mahogany hardwood floors and white birch plywood wall panels were also installed along with Rockwool insulation, PEX and ABS plumbing, new 12-volt and 120-volt wiring, and custom lighting.

The trailer’s exterior has some dings and dents but maintains its polished, riveted aluminum panels. It has two doors with porthole windows, green-painted interior surfaces at the front right and left rear, reproduction pop-out door handles, screen doors with some wear, wrap-around front windows, slide-open windows with removable aluminum mesh screens, and a distinctive teardrop-shaped roof vent. As highlighted by the seller, the screen doors do not fit tightly within the door frames, and a tear is present on one of the screens.

Inside, the observation room features a dinette with wraparound seats and a drop-down table that converts to an extra bed. The front area has green-painted overhead and under-seat cabinets, along with a Dickinson Newport propane heater that warms the bedroom. Manually operated roof vents are located over the observation room and kitchen areas.

The kitchen has custom green cabinetry, dark gray laminate countertops, a stainless-steel sink, an under-counter 120/12-volt refrigerator, a three-burner propane stove with a vented hood, a Breville air fryer, and a tankless water heater under the counters.

The bedroom can be separated by a green-painted four-panel folding door. It includes a full, extra-long memory foam mattress, under-bed drawers, and a slide-out closet. The bathroom features a ceramic toilet inside a shower with a tempered glass door, across from a sink and mirror framed by green-painted corner cabinets.

The trailer is powered by a 12-volt battery system and includes holding tanks for white, gray, and black water, as well as shore connections for electricity (120-volt), fresh water, and wastewater. This vintage camper sits on white-painted 16-inch wheels with blue and red pinstripes and uses ST235/80R16 10-ply tires. The trailer tongue includes a manual jack and propane tank provisions.

Currently, this Spartan Manor Model 25 is offered in Nelson, British Columbia, with local registration. You can check out more details available on the Bring a Trailer listing.
