Jingles of the Christmas bells have started ringing, reminding us that special time of the year is arriving. And what better way to celebrate the festive season than by creating simple and affordable DIY Christmas Decorations.

Either done solo or with your family, these easy DIY projects are engaging and easier on the wallet. So, make your season merry and bright with these budget-friendly DIY Christmas decoration ideas and have a wonderful festive time ahead.

Coffee Filter Snowflakes

Bring some creative warmth into your home with these intricately patterned coffee filter snowflakes made from coffee filter papers. You simply have to fold the white coffee filter into a triangle and with decorative edge scissors cut the paper into myriad patterns that can be strung together to make aesthetic decorative. You can instantly increase your home’s appeal by taping these snowflakes on doors and windows and let your guests enjoy them.

Cotton Ball Snow

This easy and inexpensive project adds extra magic by creating a winter wonderland in the comfort of your apartment. You just need some thread, a bag of cotton balls and a little glue for this project. Thread your cotton balls one by one with the help of white thread and needle for its center, you can dab some glue onto the thread to keep cotton balls in place.

You can make them all the same length or vary them to give your collection a more natural look. And for the “falling snow” illusion leave some gap between the cotton balls.

Snowman Door or Fridge

To build a snowman door or fridge you need black and orange paper. Cut out two black circles for the eyes and five smaller ones for the smile of your snowman. And for the buttons, you have to cut four smaller black circles. A triangle orange paper will become the carrot nose of your Christmas creation. Finally, tape it onto a refrigerator door or any door of your home.

Felt Christmas tree

To create a Felt Christmas Tree, you’ll require green Styrofoam cone and green felt. Use a circular object to trace round shapes on the green felt. After doing that, cut out the circles with scissors. Starting from the bottom, stick your felt circles onto the Styrofoam cone using pins and make sure that your circles are overlapping each other right to the top. You can even decorate it with Christmas lights to give your felt Christmas tree an appealing look.

Pinecone Wreath

Buying a pinecone wreath from a store can be expensive. Alternatively, follow these instructions and create your own pinecone wreath for a fraction of the cost. To do this, you’ll need pony beads, pinecones, a wire hanger, and hot glue. All you have to do is glue one pony bead with each pinecone and string them through the circled wire hanger and make sure there are no gaps in between the cones. Finally, attach a holiday ribbon to the top where two ends of the circled wire hanger meet.
