Every year Chinese consumer electronics and home appliances company Haier in collaboration with iF International Forum Design GmbH organizes Haier Design Awards, to invite young students and designers from around the world with visionary projects on a planned theme. This year’s theme was “Wonderful Home Life: Global We, Local Me” and young designers from China, India, Korea, Sweden and other countries presented their unique concepts. Though all the winning entries are fully-substantial, but the Habitat Landscape faucet designed by students from the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Nanchang, China looked most fascinating among them all.

The faucet shows up unique scenery which looks both, real and imaginary. The inspiration of this faucet comes from the traditional Chinese ink painting. This one-of-a-kind aesthetic landscape is shown using refraction of light on the water. It means as the user opens up the faucet, and water flows out like a shower, the distinctive amalgamation of light and water is shown as a beautiful landscape with flowing rivers and stable mountains.

According to the award page, it can let users enjoy the beauty of natural landscapes inside the bathroom to attain some Buddhist mood. In this modern world when everybody has less amount of time to experience nature, this nature-inspired faucet is going to be a cool item for bathrooms. It will not be a boring accessory like other standard faucets, as each time you open it up, you will be reminded of the elements of nature.
