Shipping container homes may not be as loved as tiny houses on wheels but they serve the same purposes with a bit of sustainable touch. The Conex tiny house is built from a 20-foot shipping container and offers off-grid amenities. It features two solar panels, two batteries, and a power converter. The off-grid container home works great for a bachelor who wants to live away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The shipping container home has an industrial exterior painted blue. It retains much of its identity from the previous life and keeps the original doors on the side. A separate entrance has been installed in the front of the house that stands stark in white color. There are only three windows in the house but they are enough to keep it well-lit with natural light and naturally ventilated given the open-floor layout inside.

There is a wood-burning stove in the living-cum-bedroom space. The open space can fit a convertible couch or a daybed to sleep two with ease. A small coffee table or side table can also be added. In the kitchenette, a propane-powered gas stove is installed. It also offers cabinets and a small sink. Adjacent to the kitchen is a bathroom that has a flush toilet and a shower stall.

To further enhance the off-grid capabilities, the abode offers a water tote to provide water in the toilet, shower, and sink, and in the kitchen. A propane water heater provides hot water as well. The Conex tiny house can be used for several purposes such as an office, a hunting cabin, or as an additional accessory unit. This house can be availed from the Tiny Home Builders for $35,000.
