A well-designed lighting fixture is a great asset to any interior. While they come in different forms, styles, and shapes, the modern world demands lighting pieces to be innovative and able to blend with contemporary living spaces. The Helix lamp is a good example of how modern concepts of illumination are being developed. Designed by Liam, a UK-based designer, the Helix is a 3D-printed lamp with a helical structure wrapped around light bulbs.

The coil-shaped table lamp doesn’t glow by itself but it holds the light orbs in place that can be used singularly or in a pair as you prefer. The Helix lamp concept is unique and it challenges the usual lamp designs with its form and fluidity. It can be used in various settings including a living area, creating a nice ambiance in the bedroom, or enriching kids’ area with playfulness.

The yellow-colored helical lamp has received a great reception from people on Instagram where Liam has shared his concept. The designer believes in blending design with the psychological aspects of the human mind. His vision and creativity are reflected perfectly in the case of the Helix lamp that captivates anyone with its shape. It brings back the nostalgia of playing with springy coils and at the same time the design is minimalistic and appealing.

The playful design of the Helix lamp is just one of its highlights as it perfectly functions as a great interior object with a distinct personality. It accommodates the light orbs and keeps them in place while also letting them be adjusted at various levels. By adding or removing the light orbs the brightness of this lamp can be controlled.

What is your take on the Helix lamp? Go through the pictures of this lamp concept and let us know if you would like to see this design come to reality.
