When it comes to cakes, in most cases the design is determined by the occasion, person’s likes or a theme. Cake designs have come a long way when we talk about fusing cake decoration and artistic prowess. They look so real that one would have to eat them to believe it. After seeing countless cake designs which look too good to eat, we took a while to believe this one – completely different.

The world’s first electric cake from the Conjurer’s Kitchen! The cake was commissioned by The Robin Collective for Tech Nation party hosted by Deliveroo. The cake does not require any fancy electrical lighting (or candles perhaps) as it has edible circuits to power the LED candle lights on top. All it requires is plugging the cord into the power supply. Once the celebration is over, you can actually eat this cake without getting a shock.

Annabel de Vetten, the culinary wizard of the Conjurer’s Kitchen, took over 60 hours to create this electrifying cake from a pile of cakes depicting different food items like burger, pancakes and what not. And yes, almost 25 kgs of sugar paste and marzipan elegantly fuse into the electrical circuitry to be gobbled down without a hitch.

Just for the records, this electric cake stole the limelight at London Tech Week which concluded last week.
