We all expect and love to see some monstrous and expensive sound systems at the Consumers Electronics Show. Here’s one launched by Naim Audio, a British manufacturer of Hi-Fi audio products at the ongoing CES 2014. The new Statement amplifier system which comprises of a NAC S1 preamplifier and two NAP S1 mono power amplifiers will deliver huge power of 746W per channel and is expected to cost around $200,000. The tower of each unit is 94cm tall and is suspended on an A-frame and then attached to the floor by spikes. The NAP S1 mono power amplifiers weigh 101kg each and the NAC S1 preamplifier weighs 61.5kg.

The preamplifier comes with a choice of three DIN sockets, three pairs of RCA phonos or two sets of balanced sockets mounted on a brass frame and covered by metal cage to keep away the electromagnetic interference. Naim’s new Dual Volume Control is used by the NAC S1 through a chip system for providing sharp and clean sound. Each amplifier works with a specially designed 4000VA toroidal transformer and for increased thermal conductivity new aluminum nitride utilizing output transistors are used. The $200,000 Statement amplifier by Naim Audio is on display at the CES 2014 trade show and will be available for sale from July.
