Selk’bag, a popular wearable sleeping bag brand introduced Rainforest wearable sleeping bag made from 100-percent recycled material. This is not the first time it has created a recycled product, Selk’bag launched Nomad, last year. The new one differs only by its gorgeous, nature-inspired pattern and colors.
Inspired by flora and fauna in the Chilean forest preserve of Parque Oncol, Selk’bag Rainforest features a camouflaged-esque print. The forest print is hand-drawn and looks really cheerful. There are double slider zippers, adjustable hood, hand openings, kangaroo pocket, removable booties, to ensure further convenience.
Its outer shell, linings, zippers and insulation are all made from 100-percent post-consumer recycled material fibers. Each sleeping bag is crafted from 54 discarded plastic bottles. With a DWR water-resistant polyester shell, hollow-core insulation and an ISO temperature rating of 55⁰F, it is well suitable for indoor or outdoor use. It can also be packed away into a bag for easy transportation – there is no information on whether the bag is made from recycled material or not.
