Call it publicity, promotion or a PR strategy, car makers from around the world are indulging in an uncanny and perfidious practice of teasing tent-topped glamping experience on their electric vehicles. Aptera motors idealized it on its long touted electric vehicle and now trudging in its footsteps is the Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda.

Skoda’s UK branch has turned its ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal model into a tent-topped electric vehicle. Featuring a glamping tent on its roof, the electric SUV is hoarding a lot of attention on social media. The rooftop tent can be accessed via a separate ladder and sleeps up to two people in its double bed. It is also equipped with a solar-powered fan, integrated flashlight and netting storage that supports comfortable living.

If you think that is it; you are terribly mistaken because ENYAQ iV 80 SUV offers more than just a vehicle and a tent. The rear of the vehicle is equipped with a camping box from Czech brand EGOE catering to the comfort and requirements of a user. With its slide-out design, the box essentially functions as an outdoor kitchen and includes an integrated gas cooker, a collapsible sink with tap and hose, and plenty of storage to make your trip memorable.

While two people can sleep inside the tent, the vehicle also offers an extendable bed for two that stretches across the rear bench, making it a family-friendly camper. Talking about the car, Enyaq FestEVal electric micro-camper offers up to 338 miles (544 km) of range per charge. It takes about 30 minutes to charge completely.

Before you get too excited and start calculating monthly installments, I’d like to inform that ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal model with the roof-top tent is neither up for sale nor in production and is just a one-off camper version teased by the company. Nevertheless, the vehicle flaunts an impressive design that adventurers are ardently fond of.
