Long Black Tiny House is the Most Exquisite Single-Level Dwelling

The Long Black tiny house by New Zealand-based builder Cocoon Tiny Homes is a beautiful, matte black, single-level dwelling. Measuring 39-foot-long and 9.8-foot-wide, the Long Black is one of the most exquisite and luxurious one-story compact houses we have seen so far. The switch of forgoing loft spaces in tiny houses has become the latest trend in the industry, and we say it does not disappoint at all.

When compared to the brand’s other mobile, compact dwellings, the Long Black tiny house sits on a slightly bigger side, both in configuration and pricing. Acquiring this gorgeous micro-dwelling will cost you NZ$199,000 (US$119,700) if you opt for a full build, a shell build however will cost $100,000 less than a fully-furnished house.

With a name right on the nose, the black industrial-style exterior of the abode is broken often with big windows and two gigantic glass doors, allowing natural light and fresh air inside. It also nods to the archetypal New Zealand style of tiny house exteriors, which unlike the European micro-dwellings – rife with natural wood usage – opt for serious steel construction, making them sturdy and more durable in harsh climates.

Although it includes a single bedroom at the end of the house, with a direct entrance from outside, it can be modified to include two smaller bedrooms as a substitute for a large one. The advantage of a single-level design is that it has an aesthetical flow with ease of access across the house, while also removing the headache of using irksome ladders or space-consuming staircases.

The single-level layout of the Long Black makes it suitable for a couple, ideally, empty-nesters or retired people, who do not want the hassle of climbing stairs whenever rest is needed. In its 387 sq. ft. structure, the compact house packs a punch. It boasts a luxurious interior with a king-size bedroom featuring two storage lofts, a wardrobe-lined wall with sliding doors, and a separate entrance.

The U-shaped kitchen is at the other end of the house and features custom cabinets, a fridge, pantry, oven, two-burner gas hob, sink, tiled backsplash, and more storage. A dining table is placed next to the kitchen. A cozy living room sits on the other side with a sofa, coffee table, and open shelving. This space can be converted into another room.

Separating the bedroom from the rest of the house is a full-size bathroom. The bathroom of the Long Black tiny house features a custom laundry tower, shelving, bi-fold doors, shower, toilet, and vanity sink.

Hi, I don’t know much about this but you could probably look up the company name and or look up a company closer to you and ask if they can make one like it.
