What do you with the empty bottles of your favorite wine or any other liquor? Throw it away? Well, this now instead of tossing it directly into dustbin try converting it into a useful light source. The empty colored or transparent glass bottles can be transformed into functional featured lamps. Something like- the SplashLIGHT lamp by Matthew William Keen of design studio Avooq.

Every useless liquor cisterns are able to scatter soothing ambiance of light, depending on its individual glass color and design. You can experiment with your favorite bottles or explore endless variations. For the light, an old halogen desk lamp is dismantled and molded in shape splashing liquid, using some heat source. This molded part acts as bottle holder as well as energy source when attached to a power cord. You have an option to use the holder with or without the light source.

Likewise, you can also up-cycle the empty bottles with or without label- according to your preference. This way you can create a luminous décor object for your living space, using bottles of different shapes and sizes. It will certainly be an inventive light object to intensify look of any room. Have a look at the unique SplashLIGHT lamps in the images given below and do share your views after the jump.
