3D printed home decor objects including fascinating lampshades have gained popularity over past few years. This is because such lighting fixtures are not only lightweight and attractive, but also has customizable design that can be changed according to the user. Living up to the concept of customization and hi-end technology, Thingiverse user Phathousecat has recently uploaded a design for a modular paper lamp.

It can be made from several pieces of waste paper and 3D printed plastic parts, forming multi-faceted lamp structure- meanwhile upcycling unused paper. This lampshade is mainly constructed from folded pieces of paper and joined together with clips. its top and bottom portion of the lamp is made from identical plastic parts and a bridge at center holds onto both the portions, forming elegant lamp fixture. The best thing about this innovative lamp is that its design can be customized as per the user’s desire.

The lampshade doesn’t require tape, glue or fasteners to hold it together; only plastic clips are sufficient to hold its structure. This inexpensive pendant lamp that can be made easily at home and form stylish light object for your home or office. This unique lamp design shows that in future you’ll be able to style up your living spaces with sustainable designs created by 3D printing.
