Gaming chairs are a popular segment in the entertainment arena for a good reason. Being glued to the seat for hours at end, playing your favorite title, makes comfort and ergonomic posture a lifestyle choice to avoid any health hazards. Razer tapped this ever-growing segment of gaming with their first gaming chair in 2020, followed by plenty of other options in the following years.

Their ambitions are not halting anytime soon as they want to make gaming even more comfortable with a gaming chair that keeps the temperature regulated, no matter if you are engaged in Call of Duty in tropical regions, or jockeying for top position in Forza Horizon 5 in the frigid cold of northern hemisphere.

At the ongoing CES conference, Razer revealed the Project Arielle mesh gaming chair that has bladeless fans to keep you cool in the summer and cozy in winter. The idea is downright practical because, during gaming, things can get uncomfortable after some time due to excessive heat build-up or bone-chilling cold when it is snowing outside.

Unlike some other options like the Mavix M7 massage chair that only facilitates heating or cooling in the lumbar region, this one circulates the air on the whole seat back. Thus, making it the world’s first gaming chair equipped with the active cooling tech for long comfortable gaming sessions. Streamers would be edging to buy this one I’m sure!

The chair reduces the perceived temperature by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius in hot humid weather, while for chillier environments it can blow warm air up to 30 degrees Celsius courtesy of the built-in PTC heaters. Gamers can control this with the touch panel on the side. The LED lights all around the chair indicate the mode it is currently in – red for warm and blue for cool airflow. Of course, it comes with a power cord, and if you were wondering, it doesn’t have a built-in battery too, but that could be a future addition as this for now is just a concept.

Razer Project Arielle seems like a winning idea, especially for hot climates where long gaming sessions can get really uncomfortable. Having the option to cool yourself down by a few degrees is more than comforting, given all the sweat buildup you have to deal with. It’s more like the climate-controlled seat of your vehicle, and Razer should definitely come up with a production-ready version.
